He's not even been picked yet, but already the new Pope has requests flying in from far and wide.
Following the news of Pope Francis' passing at 88 officials are now shifting their focus to who could potentially replace him. And when the 267th Pope is sworn in, a British UFO researcher and filmmaker wants the newly elected Pontiff to break decades of silence and finally reveal the Vatican’s hidden knowledge on UFO phenomena.
Pope Francis, who assumed the papacy in 2013, was lauded for making the Church more inclusive in both speech and action. And Mark Christopher Lee is hopeful that his successor will be just as forward thinking.

As the world grows more accepting of Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAPs), Lee argues it's high time the Catholic Church revealed its true knowledge on the matter.

Drawing on the extensive research of Vatican scholar Rob Howells, Lee highlights ongoing allegations that the Church continues to suppress the Third Secret of Fatima - a contentious and enigmatic message supposedly conveyed by a vision to three peasant children in Portugal in 1917.
While the Church has officially released what it claims to be the full message, many researchers, including Howell, assert that a deeper, more unsettling truth remains concealed.

Lee believes the Fatima event was not a religious vision, but a UFO encounter misinterpreted at the time through the lens of religious experience.
He said: “What the children saw and described—an intense shining object, sudden weather changes, and a radiant ‘being’ who communicated messages—fits the classic pattern of close encounters.
“This was not the Virgin Mary. This was a non-human intelligence trying to communicate with us. And the Vatican knows it.”
The filmmaker, known for exploring the intersection between religion, history, and extra-terrestrial life, is calling for complete transparency from the new papacy.
He added: “If the Church is truly committed to spiritual truth and human enlightenment, then it must no longer suppress information that could fundamentally reshape our understanding of our place in the cosmos.”
Lee’s work has gained international attention for challenging long-held assumptions about religious phenomena and offering bold, evidence-based alternative interpretations.
His upcoming documentary, which is currently in the works, promises to delve deeper into the Fatima mystery, the Vatican's clandestine archives, and the increasing pressure for the Church to address the modern discourse surrounding UAPs.
The news of Pope Francis' death was confirmed by the Vatican on social media, stating: "Pope Francis died on Easter Monday, April 21, 2025, at the age of 88 at his residence in the Vatican's Casa Santa Marta."

A spokesman said: "Dearest brothers and sisters, with deep sorrow I must announce the death of our Holy Father Francis. At 7:35 this morning, the Bishop of Rome, Francis, returned to the house of the Father. His entire life was dedicated to the service of the Lord and of His Church.
"He taught us to live the values of the Gospel with fidelity, courage, and universal love, especially in favor of the poorest and most marginalized. With immense gratitude for his example as a true disciple of the Lord Jesus, we commend the soul of Pope Francis to the infinite merciful love of the One and Triune God."
